How Ofloxacin and Lactobacillus Work Ofloxacin and Lactobacillus is a combination of two medicines: Ofloxacin and Lactobacillus. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism that restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine, which may be disrupted by antibiotic use or intestinal infections.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Ofloxacin and Lactobacillus include nausea, vomiting, bloating, stomach pain, dizziness, and headache.

Expert Advice

  • Take your medication on time to maintain steady levels in your body.
  • Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
  • Stopping treatment early may allow the infection to return and become harder to treat.
  • Discontinue Ofloxacin + Lactobacillus and inform your doctor immediately if you experience:
    • a rash,

    • swelling of the face or mouth,
    • difficulty breathing.
