Urea, Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, and Liquid Paraffin are used in the treatment of dry skin.
How it Works
How Urea, Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, and Liquid Paraffin Work Urea, Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, and Liquid Paraffin is a combination of four ingredients. Urea provides hydration to smooth the skin's texture and helps reduce the buildup of dead skin cells. Lactic acid removes old, dull cells from the skin's surface. Propylene glycol has humectant properties and acts as a barrier to retain moisture in the skin. It also facilitates the absorption of other ingredients into the skin. Liquid paraffin prevents moisture loss from the outer layer of the skin.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Urea, Lactic Acid, Propylene Glycol, and Liquid Paraffin include application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness, as well as skin rash.
Expert Advice
- Do not use Urea + Lactic Acid + Propylene Glycol + Liquid Paraffin on:
- Deep skin wounds
- Blistered skin
- Severe burns
- Large skin areas
- Apply to the skin only.
- Avoid sensitive areas such as:
- Eyes
- Mouth/Nose
- Vaginal/Groin area
- After applying Urea + Lactic Acid + Propylene Glycol + Liquid Paraffin, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).
- If you are allergic to any ingredients in Urea + Lactic Acid + Propylene Glycol + Liquid Paraffin, do not use the product.
- If you are unsure, please consult a dermatologist.
- Do not bathe immediately after applying Urea + Lactic Acid + Propylene Glycol + Liquid Paraffin; leave it for at least two hours after application.
- If applying this product to the feet, cover your feet with socks for best results.
