How Ichthyol Pale works Ichthyol Pale contains Ichthyol Pale, the sodium salt of pale sulfonated shale oil in an aqueous solution. It works by reducing oil secretion from the oil glands on the skin surface. It also exhibits antimicrobial activity that prevents the growth of infectious microorganisms and treats skin infections. Additionally, it has anti-inflammatory properties that alleviate irritation and itching associated with skin disorders.
