How Formoterol and Fluticasone Propionate work Formoterol and Fluticasone Propionate is a combination of two medications: Formoterol and Fluticasone Propionate. Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they facilitate easier breathing.
