How Flurbiprofen, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate Work Flurbiprofen, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate is a combination of three components: flurbiprofen, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and phenyl mercuric nitrate. Flurbiprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers responsible for pain and inflammation, including redness and swelling. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating agent that mimics natural tears, providing temporary relief from burning and discomfort caused by dryness of the eye.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Flurbiprofen, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, and Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate include burning sensation in the eye, irritation, and stinging sensation.
