How it Works

How Flumazenil works Flumazenil is an antidote used to reverse the effects of benzodiazepines administered during surgery for sedation. It blocks the action of benzodiazepines by acting on GABA receptors, thereby reversing the sedative effects.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Flumazenil include dizziness, injection site pain, increased sweating, headache, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, cutaneous vasodilation, agitation, and emotional lability.
