Flucytosine

Uses

Flucytosine is used in the treatment of severe fungal infections. It is administered alongside other antifungal medications to address systemic yeast and fungal infections, including cryptococcal meningitis and severe systemic candidiasis.

How it Works

Flucytosine works by killing and slowing the growth of fungi through its interference with protein and DNA synthesis.
