Bromhexine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. The addition of Bromhexine enhances the antibacterial effect of Erythromycin.

Common side effects of Erythromycin and Bromhexine include nausea, bloating, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, dizziness, headache, sweating, and skin rash.
