Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Together, they lower blood glucose levels more effectively.

Common side effects of Empagliflozin and Metformin include nausea, vomiting, urinary tract infection, genital fungal infection, nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages), polyuria, flatulence, and dyslipidemia.
