Common side effects of Doxycycline and Lactobacillus include nausea, vomiting, photosensitivity, anaphylactic reaction, rash, headache, fast heart rate, and hypotension (low blood pressure).

Expert Advice

Your doctor has prescribed Doxycycline + Lactobacillus to treat your infection and alleviate symptoms.
Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you start to feel better.
Stopping the medication early may cause the infection to return and make it more difficult to treat.
Take the medication with food and plenty of fluids to minimize the risk of an upset stomach and acid reflux.
Administer the medication while sitting or standing to prevent throat irritation.
Avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should resolve once the course is complete.

Discontinue the medication and inform your doctor immediately if you experience a rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing.
Notify your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
