How it Works

How Omeprazole, Domperidone, and Simethicone Work Omeprazole, Domperidone, and Simethicone is a combination of three medicines: Omeprazole, Domperidone, and Simethicone. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn. Domperidone is a prokinetic that acts on the area of the brain responsible for controlling vomiting. It also stimulates the upper digestive tract to enhance the movement of the stomach and intestines, facilitating the easier passage of food. Simethicone is an antifoaming agent that breaks down gas bubbles, allowing for the easy passage of gas.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Omeprazole, Domperidone, and Simethicone include diarrhea, flatulence, headache, constipation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and fundic gland polyps.
