Docaravimab + Miromavimab

Uses

Docaravimab and Miromavimab are used in the treatment of rabies.

How it Works

How Docaravimab and Miromavimab Work Rabies is a viral infection caused by the rabies virus, which primarily affects the nervous system. Once the virus enters the body through a bite from an infected animal, it travels along nerve fibers to the central nervous system, including the brain. There, it can cause severe neurological symptoms and, ultimately, death if left untreated. Docaravimab and Miromavimab contain two antibodies: docaravimab and miromavimab. These antibodies bind to the rabies virus and prevent it from entering and infecting nerve cells and other cells in the body. This interruption of the virus's ability to replicate and spread within the body is crucial for halting the progression of rabies infection.
