How Meningococcal Vaccine (Group A, C, Y & W-135) and Diphtheria Toxoid Work Meningococcal Vaccine (Group A, C, Y & W-135) and Diphtheria Toxoid contains Meningococcal polysaccharides from serogroups A, C, Y, and W-135, as well as diphtheria toxoid protein, which serves as a carrier for the individual serogroup antigens. This vaccine helps develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies that protect against future infections.

- Meningococcal Vaccine (Group A, C, Y & W-135) + Diphtheria Toxoid is used for active immunization to prevent meningococcal disease in individuals aged 9 months to 55 years.
- In children aged 9 through 23 months, Meningococcal Vaccine (Group A, C, Y & W-135) + Diphtheria Toxoid is administered as a 2-dose series, with doses given at least three months apart.
- In individuals aged 2 through 55 years, it is administered as a single dose.
