How it Works

How Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid, and Simethicone work Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid, and Simethicone is a combination of three medicines: Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid, and Simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving cramps and pain. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Simethicone is an antifoaming agent that disintegrates gas bubbles and allows for the easy passage of gas.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Dicyclomine, Mefenamic Acid, and Simethicone include nausea, dry mouth, diarrhea, dizziness, abdominal pain, constipation, dyspepsia, headache, drowsiness, itching, ringing in the ears, and breathlessness.
