Simethicone is an antifoaming agent that breaks down gas bubbles, facilitating the easy passage of gas. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic that relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines, preventing sudden muscle contractions (spasms). This action helps relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide that acts within the intestines to eliminate infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). Diloxanide is used in conjunction with tinidazole for severe intestinal infections. Tinidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging their DNA.
