This action helps relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Diloxanide is a luminal amoebicide that acts within the intestines to eliminate infection-causing microorganisms (amoeba). Diloxanide is used in conjunction with tinidazole for severe intestinal infections. Tinidazole is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and other infectious microorganisms by damaging their DNA.
