How Dicyclomine and Dextropropoxyphene Work Dicyclomine and Dextropropoxyphene is a combination of two medications: dicyclomine and dextropropoxyphene, which relieve abdominal pain and cramps. Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic that works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines. It stops sudden muscle contractions, or spasms. By doing this, it alleviates cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Dextropropoxyphene is an opioid analgesic that works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain, thereby reducing pain perception.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Dicyclomine and Dextropropoxyphene include nausea, vomiting, dryness of the mouth, blurred vision, sleepiness, weakness, and nervousness.
