How Diclofenac + Methyl Salicylate + Menthol Works Diclofenac + Methyl Salicylate + Menthol is a combination of three medicines: Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, and Menthol, which relieve pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation, including redness and swelling. Methyl Salicylate and Menthol are topical analgesics (pain relievers). They first cool the skin and then warm it up. This cooling and warming action improves blood circulation and helps distract from the sensation of pain.
