How it Works
How Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone Work Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone is a combination of two medicines: Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria and treating your infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Ofloxacin and Dexamethasone include eye irritation, eye discomfort, increased intraocular pressure, burning eyes, eye itching, and blurred vision.

- Ofloxacin + Dexamethasone is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections and inflammation of the eye.
- Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
- Stopping treatment early may result in the infection returning and becoming more difficult to treat.
- Avoid touching the tip of the bottle to any surface to prevent contamination.
- Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication to avoid dilution.
- Short-term blurring of vision may occur upon initial use; exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
- Do not wear contact lenses until your infection has resolved.
- Do not use this medication more frequently or for a longer duration than prescribed by your doctor.
- Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve after seven days of treatment.
- Ensure to use the medication within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
