Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone are used in the treatment of bacterial eye infections.
How it Works
How Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone work Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone is a combination of two medicines: Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone. Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria and treating the infection. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Moxifloxacin and Dexamethasone include eye discomfort, reduced visual acuity, dry eye, corneal inflammation, ocular hyperemia, eye pain, eye itching, subconjunctival hemorrhage, and increased lacrimation (flow of tears).

- Moxifloxacin + Dexamethasone is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections and inflammation of the eye.
- Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
- Stopping treatment early may result in the infection returning and becoming more difficult to treat.
- Avoid touching the tip of the applicator to any surface to prevent contamination.
- Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication to prevent dilution.
- This medication may cause temporary blurring of vision upon initial use.
- Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
- Avoid wearing contact lenses until the infection has resolved.
- Do not use this medication more frequently or for a longer duration than prescribed by your doctor.
- Inform your doctor if your condition does not improve after seven days of treatment.
- Ensure to use the medication within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
