How it Works

How Deflazacort works: Deflazacort is a corticosteroid that increases the level of glucocorticoids in the body. It functions by reducing the formation of substances that cause inflammation and suppressing the immune response to prevent self-damage caused by the immune system, such as in autoimmune reactions occurring in organ transplants or cancer.

Common side effects of Deflazacort include increased appetite, weight gain, abdominal pain, mood changes, Cushingoid syndrome, excessive facial hair growth, central obesity, polyuria, constipation, irritability, fever, back pain, erythema (skin redness), rash, nausea, nosebleeds, and stretch marks.
