How it Works

How Cyclopentolate and Dexamethasone work Cyclopentolate and Dexamethasone is a combination of two medications that relieve eye pain. Cyclopentolate is used to dilate or enlarge the pupil of the eye, allowing the doctor to examine the back of the eyeball. It may also be used to reduce pain in certain eye conditions. Dexamethasone belongs to a group of medications called corticosteroids. It prevents late-phase allergic reactions by inhibiting the release of chemicals responsible for allergies.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Cyclopentolate and Dexamethasone include itching, irritation, stinging sensation, burning sensation in the eye, blurred vision, eye redness, increased sensitivity to light, and a foreign body sensation.
