How it Works

How Hydrocortisone and Crotamiton Work Hydrocortisone and Crotamiton is a combination of two medicines: Hydrocortisone and Crotamiton. Hydrocortisone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause the skin to become red, swollen, and itchy. Crotamiton is an antiparasitic that works by killing the tiny insects (mites) and their eggs that cause scabies.
