Uses
Cisapride is used in the treatment of heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux), indigestion, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome.

How Cisapride Works: Cisapride indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that increases intestinal motility.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Cisapride include headache, nausea, and diarrhea.

- It is usually taken approximately 15 minutes before food or bedtime.
