Ciclesonide and Formoterol are used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

How it Works

Ciclesonide and Formoterol is a combination of two medications: Ciclesonide and Formoterol. Ciclesonide is a steroid that works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Formoterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and widens them. Together, these medications make breathing easier.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Ciclesonide and Formoterol include cough, headache, increased heart rate, dryness in the mouth, dry throat, blurred vision, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, urinary retention, constipation, nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the throat and nasal passages), upper respiratory tract infection, sinus inflammation, stomach discomfort, fungal infection of the oropharynx, tremors, palpitations, voice changes, dizziness, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation), and taste changes.
