Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that lowers blood pressure by removing excess water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Clonidine and Chlorthalidone include dryness of the mouth, sedation, decreased potassium levels in the blood, increased uric acid levels in the blood, increased blood lipid levels, glucose intolerance, electrolyte imbalance, slow heart rate, and sexual dysfunction.
