Chlorthalidone + Cilnidipine + Irbesartan

Uses

Irbesartan, Chlorthalidone, and Cilnidipine are used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

How it Works

How Irbesartan, Chlorthalidone, and Cilnidipine Work Irbesartan, Chlorthalidone, and Cilnidipine is a combination of three medications that effectively lower blood pressure. Irbesartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). These medications work by widening and relaxing blood vessels, thereby reducing blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps eliminate excess water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Irbesartan, Chlorthalidone, and Cilnidipine include dizziness, orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure upon standing), fatigue, ankle swelling, sleepiness, flushing (a sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), headache, nausea, palpitations, increased uric acid levels in the blood, glucose intolerance, and altered blood lipid levels.
