How Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, and Sodium Citrate work Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, and Sodium Citrate is a combination of four medicines that relieve common cold symptoms. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer) that blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for pain and fever. Phenylpropanolamine is a sympathomimetic agonist that narrows blood vessels in the nose to alleviate congestion. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antihistamine that relieves allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Sodium Citrate is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Paracetamol, Phenylpropanolamine, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, and Sodium Citrate include nausea, sleepiness, palpitations, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), and high blood pressure.
