How Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, and Milk of Magnesia work Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, and Milk of Magnesia is a combination of three medicines: Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, and Milk of Magnesia. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that increases the action of a chemical messenger (GABA), which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium is an antispasmodic medicine that relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines, stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms). This action relieves cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Milk of Magnesia is a laxative that works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis, making stools soft and easier to pass.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Chlordiazepoxide, Clidinium, and Milk of Magnesia include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, blurred vision, difficulty urinating, drowsiness, impaired coordination, and confusion.
