Uses

Cefalexin and Clavulanic Acid Uses: Cefalexin and Clavulanic Acid are used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

How it Works

How Cefalexin and Clavulanic Acid work Cefalexin and Clavulanic Acid is a combination of two medications: Cefalexin and Clavulanic Acid. Cefalexin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the protective covering (cell wall) necessary for their survival. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by blocking an enzyme (beta-lactamase) produced by bacteria to inactivate antibiotics. This reduces resistance and enhances the effectiveness of antibiotics against bacteria.
