How it Works

How Camphor, Menthol, Phenylephrine, Carboxymethylcellulose, and Naphazoline Work Camphor, Menthol, Phenylephrine, Carboxymethylcellulose, and Naphazoline is a combination of five medications used to treat allergic eye disease. Camphor and Menthol provide a cooling effect to the eye. Phenylephrine and Naphazoline are decongestants that work by narrowing the blood vessels in the eye to relieve inflammation, including redness and swelling. Carboxymethylcellulose is a lubricating agent similar to natural tears, offering relief from burning and discomfort caused by dryness of the eye.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Camphor, Menthol, Phenylephrine, Carboxymethylcellulose, and Naphazoline include eye pain, eye irritation, stinging in the eyes, blurred vision, and photophobia.
