How Diclofenac + Capsaicin + Mephenesin + Camphor + Menthol works Diclofenac + Capsaicin + Mephenesin + Camphor + Menthol is a combination of five medicines. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation, such as redness and swelling. Capsaicin desensitizes nerve endings, which alleviates pain, while rubefacients increase blood flow to the affected area, providing a warm and soothing sensation. Mephenesin is a muscle relaxant that acts on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasms without reducing strength, thereby improving pain and muscle movement. Camphor belongs to a class of medicines known as rubefacients and antitussives. When applied to the skin, it increases blood flow and local temperature in the affected area, which suppresses and temporarily relieves pain sensations. Menthol is an organic compound extracted from peppermint oil. It activates cold-sensing chemical messengers, resulting in a cooling effect.
