How Calcipotriol works Calcipotriol is a synthetic form of vitamin D that belongs to the class of medicines known as anti-psoriatics. It reduces the rate of skin cell growth, thereby helping to control the psoriatic condition.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Calcipotriol include dry skin, skin irritation, itching, burning sensation, stinging sensation, erythema (skin redness), and rash.

- Calcipotriol should be applied according to the dose and duration recommended by your doctor.
- Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water, and ensure it is thoroughly dried.
- Do not apply to broken, diseased, infected, inflamed, or irritated skin, or to open wounds.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or nose.
- If accidental contact occurs, rinse the area with cold water.
- Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 2-4 weeks of treatment.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
- Use sunscreen or wear protective clothing when going outside.
