How it Works

How Terbutaline and Bromhexine work Terbutaline and Bromhexine is a combination of two medicines: Terbutaline and Bromhexine, which relieves cough. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in your airways and widens the airways. Bromhexine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out. Together, they facilitate easier breathing.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Terbutaline and Bromhexine include nausea, indigestion, bloating, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, tremors, sweating, increased heart rate, upper abdominal pain, vomiting, rash, urticaria, itching, and changes in serum aminotransferase levels.

Expert Advice

  • Terbutaline + Bromhexine relieves cough associated with:
    • Bronchitis
    • Bronchial asthma
    • Emphysema
    • Other broncho-pulmonary disorders
  • Possible side effects include dizziness and sleepiness.
  • Do not drive or engage in activities requiring mental focus until you understand how it affects you.
  • If you are diabetic, monitor your blood glucose levels regularly while taking this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of:
    • Thyroid disease
