Bromhexine, Cetirizine, and Diethylcarbamazine are used in the treatment of parasitic infections.
How Bromhexine, Cetirizine, and Diethylcarbamazine work: Bromhexine, Cetirizine, and Diethylcarbamazine is a combination of three medicines that treat parasitic infections. Bromhexine is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that decreases the elevated eosinophil count (white blood cells) and controls allergic symptoms such as cough and breathlessness. Diethylcarbamazine is an antiparasitic that reduces muscular activity and causes paralysis of the worms.
Common side effects of Bromhexine, Cetirizine, and Diethylcarbamazine include nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, dryness of the mouth, dizziness, sleepiness, headache, and allergic reactions.
