How Mupirocin and Bromelain Work Mupirocin and Bromelain is a combination of two medicines: Mupirocin and Bromelain. Mupirocin is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for bacteria to perform vital functions. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme that aids in the removal of dead or damaged skin cells and promotes healing.

Common side effects of Mupirocin and Bromelain include a burning sensation at the site of application.

- Mupirocin + Bromelain must be applied to the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not use this medicine more often or for a longer duration than advised by your doctor.
- Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water, and dry it thoroughly.
- Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or nose.
- If the medication accidentally gets into these areas, rinse immediately with cold water.
- Stop using Mupirocin + Bromelain and inform your doctor if you notice any irritation or any other skin infection.
- Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment.
