How it Works
How Ciprofloxacin and Boric Acid Work Ciprofloxacin and Boric Acid is a combination of two medications: Ciprofloxacin and Boric Acid. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells in the eye or ear from dividing and repairing, effectively killing the bacteria. Boric Acid is an antiseptic that cleans the eye or ear and relieves irritation.

- Your doctor has prescribed Ciprofloxacin + Boric Acid to treat your infection and alleviate symptoms.
- Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you start to feel better.
- Avoid touching the tip of the medication to any surface, including your eye or ear, to prevent contamination.
- Consult your doctor if:
- Your symptoms do not begin to improve within two days of starting treatment.
- Your symptoms worsen during treatment.
- You experience another eye or ear infection.
- If using Ciprofloxacin + Boric Acid for the eye:
- Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
- Do not wear contact lenses while using this medication.
- Be aware that it may cause temporary blurring of vision when first used.
- Exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
