How Benzoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Ichtyolammonium, and Triamcinolone Acetonide Work Benzoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Ichtyolammonium, and Triamcinolone Acetonide is a combination of four medicines: Benzoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Ichtyolammonium, and Triamcinolone Acetonide. Benzoic Acid and Ichtyolammonium are antiseptic agents. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic agent that breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. Triamcinolone Acetonide is a steroid that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching in the skin.
Common side effects of Benzoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Ichthyolammonium, and Triamcinolone Acetonide include dry skin and application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness.
