How it Works
How Benzoic Acid, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid work Benzoic Acid, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid is a combination of three medicines: Benzoic Acid, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid. Benzoic Acid is an antiseptic. Hydrocortisone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for making the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine that breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Hydrocortisone into the skin.

Common side effects of Benzoic Acid, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid include application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness.

- It may take several weeks to show its effects. Continue using it as prescribed by your doctor.
- Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying Benzoic Acid + Hydrocortisone + Salicylic Acid.
- Apply a thin layer onto a clean, dry, unbroken infected area of skin.
- Minor burning, stinging, or irritation may occur upon application. Inform your doctor if these sensations persist.
- Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse with water if the cream accidentally comes into contact with these areas.
