How Atropine and Dexamethasone work Atropine and Dexamethasone is a combination of two medicines: Atropine and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine that works by dilating the pupil of the eye and relaxing the eye muscles. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching in the eye.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Atropine and Dexamethasone include itching, irritation, stinging sensation, blurred vision, eye redness, and dryness in the mouth.
