How it Works
How Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone work Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone is a combination of three medicines: Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine that works by dilating the pupil of the eye and relaxing the muscles within the eye. Chloramphenicol is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for bacteria to perform vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause redness, swelling, and itching in the eye.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Atropine, Chloramphenicol, and Dexamethasone include itching, irritation, stinging sensation, eye redness, blurred vision, and dryness in the mouth.
