How Ticagrelor and Aspirin work Ticagrelor and Aspirin is a combination of two medications: Ticagrelor and Aspirin. Ticagrelor is an antiplatelet medication, while Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with antiplatelet properties. Together, they prevent platelets from aggregating, which reduces the formation of harmful blood clots. This, in turn, lowers the risk of heart attack or stroke.
