How Aspirin and Esomeprazole Work Aspirin and Esomeprazole is a combination of two medications: aspirin and esomeprazole. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet properties. It works by preventing platelets from sticking together, which decreases the formation of harmful blood clots and lowers the risk of heart attack or stroke. Esomeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and protects the stomach lining from damage caused by aspirin.

Common side effects of Aspirin and Esomeprazole include increased bleeding tendency, indigestion, flatulence, nausea, and vomiting.
