Common side effects of Artesunate include headache, dizziness, vomiting, abdominal pain, cough, decreased white blood cell count (lymphocytes), reduced reticulocyte count, fever, taste changes, ringing in the ears, and rash.

Artesunate should be taken with food or drinks enriched with fat, such as milk.

It may cause dizziness and sleepiness; use caution while driving or performing tasks that require concentration.
