Arteether Uses Arteether is used in the treatment of malaria. It is not intended for the prevention of malaria or for the treatment of severe malaria, which occurs when the disease has affected the brain, lungs, or kidneys.

How it Works

How Arteether works Arteether is an antiparasitic medication. It functions by generating harmful chemicals, known as free radicals, within the malarial parasite, ultimately leading to its death.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Arteether include nausea, body ache, leg pain, chills, rigors, headache, dizziness, weakness, vomiting, cough, injection site pain, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

Expert Advice

Arteether can be taken with or without food, or as directed by your doctor.
Do not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
This medication may cause dizziness and sleepiness.
Exercise caution while driving or engaging in activities that require concentration.
Do not take this medicine during the first three months of pregnancy.
