Citric Acid is a natural substance that helps relieve mild cough. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic that alleviates cough associated with allergies by blocking the chemical messenger histamine. Ammonium Chloride is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and aids in its removal from the airways. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and alleviates throat irritation.
