How Losartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide Work Losartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide is a combination of three medications: Losartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). Together, they work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that helps remove excess water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also contributes to relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Losartan, Amlodipine, and Hydrochlorothiazide include ankle swelling, headache, dizziness, tiredness, palpitations, sleepiness, increased blood uric acid, glucose intolerance, changes in taste, flushing (a sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), upset stomach, and altered blood lipid levels.
