Uses

Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone are used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

How it Works

How Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone work Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone is a combination of three medications: Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). Together, they work by widening and relaxing blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes excess water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Additionally, it contributes to lowering blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow over time.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone include headache, dizziness, sleepiness, edema (swelling), increased uric acid levels in the blood, fatigue, elevated blood lipid levels, increased liver enzymes, visual disturbances, breathlessness, muscle cramps, gastrointestinal disturbances, electrolyte imbalances, elevated glucose levels in the blood, urticaria, postural hypotension (low blood pressure), and impotence.

Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.
This medication may cause dizziness; get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
Telmisartan + Amlodipine + Chlorthalidone may lead to dehydration.
Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you experience extreme thirst, muscle weakness, or a very dry mouth.
The use of Telmisartan + Amlodipine + Chlorthalidone during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.
