How it Works

How Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone work Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone is a combination of three medicines: Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone. Olmesartan Medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), while Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). Together, they work by widening and relaxing blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes excess water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also helps by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Olmesartan Medoxomil, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone include headache, dizziness, palpitations, sleepiness, pharyngitis, bronchitis (inflammation of the airways), visual disturbances, gastrointestinal disturbances, joint inflammation, muscle cramps, urinary tract infections, peripheral edema, increased liver enzymes, increased blood urea, elevated creatine phosphokinase (CPK) levels in the blood, electrolyte imbalances, increased glucose levels in the blood, elevated uric acid levels in the blood, urticaria, postural hypotension (low blood pressure), and impotence.
