How Amitriptyline and Pantoprazole work Amitriptyline and Pantoprazole is a combination of two medications: Amitriptyline and Pantoprazole, which treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) associated with anxiety. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain, helping to regulate mood and treat depression. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the amount of acid in the stomach, relieving acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Amitriptyline and Pantoprazole include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, stomach pain, flatulence, weight gain, sedation, difficulty urinating, orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure upon standing), blurred vision, and slow heart rate.
