Ambroxol and Guaifenesin work by decreasing the stickiness of mucus (phlegm), which aids in its removal from the airways. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that relieves allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows small blood vessels, providing temporary relief from nasal congestion or stuffiness. Menthol produces a cooling sensation and alleviates minor throat irritation.
